Many years ago, I’d checked off all the boxes to what I thought would make me happy. So why wasn’t I fulfilled?
At the time, I’d become a successful first-generation college graduate and earned a master’s degree in health systems. I was working for a prestigious company, earning a comfortable income. I was recently married, and we’d just purchased a new home with the thought of getting ready to start a family.
But I knew something was missing. Although I enjoyed my work and felt that I was making a positive impact, I couldn’t shake this voice that kept whispering to me –
“There’s got to be something more.”
As I explored my feelings around needing more than what was supposed to make me happy, I started taking steps to listen to and reconnect with my inner voice.
I took an introductory massage class that awakened a dormant spark in me. I could feel the impact that connecting through touch allowed me to have on others. I followed this path to become a board certified, licensed massage therapist in 1999.
Six years later, I realized working in massage therapy alone limited how I could really impact others. Many of my massage clients wanted me to temporarily fix their physical problems and yet, I wasn’t able to completely address their core underlying issues. The mind and body are so intertwined that only addressing the physical wasn’t enough. I realized that if I could tie in the emotional perspective by adding coaching to my practice – I could help my clients restore themselves on both emotional and physical levels. With this integrated style of coaching, my clients could finally be empowered to fully transform their lives. Inspired, I worked to become a certified Co-Active Coach in 2005.
Today, I enjoy integrating the worlds of energy, bodywork and coaching into my work with clients.
I’ve also been on my own journey to a more fulfilled, embodied life. It’s one that gets richer the more I give myself permission to reconnect to my inner voice and wholeness, allowing more joy, ease and meaning in. I’ve had the incredible honor to be a positive, calm and nurturing guide to my clients – helping them to explore their own inherent gifts, forgotten dreams, needs, and energy to create more satisfying, meaningful lives.
I’m able to partner with you as you create the life you want, relying on my deep expertise and modalities in coaching, bodywork, and energy. But my greatest joy is supporting your journey - helping you to go from that place of “there’s got to be something more” to finally feeling open, joyful, light, and at peace.
